accessories brand based in Hong Kong that specilaises in one of a kind embellished headpieces. For their Spring Summer 2022 collection, I’ve teamed up with them to create a range of floral inspired jewllery pieces. I designed the collection as well as photography and art direction for the campaign. Inspired by the blossoming floral season, this special limited collection is a collaboration between Riad and Jasmine Chan, a Riad friend who has over 10 years of experience working in fashion. I worked with the designer on the concept of the runway presentation, hair and make up. The show visuals became instantly vivid to me after seeing the garments, palettes and design&nbsp;synopsis. The runway presentation takes a nod to the minimal yet abundant details from the design, creating an atmospheric experience for the guests to connect with the story of the collection. The SS20 collection titled ‘Euphoria’ embraces the beauty that can be found in moments of distress or fragility. Every garment is finished by hand, a process that imbues the collection with sentimentality and adds poignancy. They are deliberately presented to enhance DANSHAN’s narrative that emotion and vulnerability are natural, and something to embrace rather than fear. We casted chinese model Jing Wen as the face for this launch to demonstrate the lipstick colours that aim to appeal to local customers. This series of promotional images shows the model in her natural beauty with minimal make up and editing which is very different from traditional ‘all filtered’ beauty images, thus generated a huge sensation wave with debating on the representation issues whether a beauty model should always be “flawless”.
